FORWARD CRIBBAGE LEAGUE TOURNAMENT RULES
The Forward Cribbage League tournaments will follow traditional cribbage rules, with these clarifications:
- Cut at the beginning of each match to determine who deals first with the winner of the cut (lowest card) dealing first.
- Scoring a flush: in your hand (all four cards are the same suit) = 4 pts; if the cut card is of the same suit = 5 pts; in your crib all cards must be the same suit including the cut card = 5 pts.
- Pegging a run: when playing and pegging a sequence of numbers, the cards do not have to be laid in order. For example: 3-4-5 pegs 3 pts, as does 3-5-4.
- Pegging out: You can peg out on a go from any hole.
- Taking points from an opponent, also called “Muggins”. We will not play with
- Muggins in Forward Craft Cribbage League tournaments. We want the tournaments to be competitive but also fun. Feel free to tell your opponent if they missed points, but do not take them as your own.
